In my works I like to combine the ideas and ideals of the past with the present, using half-forgotten, nowadays almost esoteric visual vocabulary to convey abstract, modern ideas. Art history is my passion, and I have dedicated a large portion of my time to study late antique and early medieval art, in particular mosaics and manuscripts. Expression through the language of symbols fascinates me, and I hope to reintroduce it into contemporary discussion.
I work primarily with acrylic paints. I draw on the old techniques, twisting them and giving them a modern appearance and context.
